High Cross Park and and the heritage side of the Prince of Wales Hospital complex also meet at this intersection. Malabar Road starts from the roundabout where Rainbow Street and Mount Street meet in Coogee and then curves around Randwick Cemetery running parallel to the coast in South Coogee into Maroubra.
