Bondi Beach: this large beach in the nothern part of Sydney's Eastern Suburbs is Sydney's most famous.Sculpture By The Sea is an annual art event held along the nearby coastal walk.
Bronte Beach: this is a family friendly beach with a large park.
Clovelly Beach: a very narrow inlet with gentle water.
Coogee Beach: the beach in the middle of Sydney's Eastern Suburbs. Coogee is an Aboriginal word and is believed to refer to sea plant life. Coogee is a family friendly beach with a village atmosphere and excellent transport links. It is the closest beach to the University of New South Wales and Prince of Wales Hospital. The coastal walkway can be taken north or south from Coogee. Coogee has numerous shops, including cafes, chemists, banks, supermarket, internet cafes, newsagents, restaurants and more.
Where the coastal walk joins the north headland of Coogee Beach there are a number of great views. These views were immortalised in the nineteenth century by impressionist painters of the Heidelberg School.

Artists continue to be inspired by Coogee, with the ocean pool at the south end of the beach being a favourite subject for both painters and photographers.
Frenchmans Bay:
Gordons Bay: a small bay to the north of Coogee. It has Sydney's only ocean dive trail.

Maroubra Beach: the next beach to the south fo Coogee. It is a large beach which has been recognised for its strong surfing heritage.
